Acceptable Use Policy

Customers may only use Inium's services for lawful purposes. Inium reserves the right to immediately suspend and/or terminate service to customer without liability, refund, or continuance of any prepaid service fees for violation of our acceptable use policy. The following are unacceptable uses and shall be cause for the suspension and/or termination of web services without notice to the customer:

Illegal Activity. Unauthorized distribution or copying copyrighted software, violation of US export restrictions, harassment, fraud, trafficking in obscene material, drug dealing, and other illegal activities. Inium reserves the right to report such illegal activities to any and all regulatory, administrative and/or governmental authorities for appropriate prosecution.

Net Abuse. Inium reserves the right to determine what defines the term 'Net Abuse'. Expressly included in Inium's definition of Net Abuse are the following activities, any of which shall be cause for the immediate termination of web services without notice to the customer:

  • Spamming: also known as UCE (unsolicited commercial email), sending unsolicited advertising to numerous email addresses or newsgroups and/or generating a significantly higher volume of outgoing email than a normal user
  • Trolling: posting outrageous messages to generate numerous responses
  • Bombing: sending multiple messages without significant new content to the same user

Spamming by third parties to promote a web site hosted by Inium, using a nonexistent return address on a commercial solicitation, subscribing someone else to a mailing list without that person's permission, cross-posting articles to an excessive number of, or to inappropriate, newsgroups are in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy and of certain State laws.

In addition to termination of service, Inium will charge One Dollar ($1.00) per email recipient for any such activity. Posting information, violating trademarks, copyrights or other intellectual property rights or intentionally inflicting emotional distress, posting of private, defamatory, scandalous, or information about a person without their consent violates our Acceptable Use Policy. In all instances, Inium reserves the right to determine what constitutes "Acceptable Use" and to modify or otherwise amend this Acceptable Use policy at any time without notice, by posting such modified and/or amended Acceptable Use policy.

Misuse of system resources. Attempting without authorization to enter into a secured computer system. Hacking or otherwise altering of a site owned and operated by another person. Inium reserves the right to report such illegal activities to any and all-regulatory, administrative and/or governmental authorities for appropriate prosecution.

All complaints about alleged violations of Inium's Acceptable Use Policy should be forwarded to au@inium.com. All complaints will be fully investigate by Inium's Acceptable Use department.

Dedicated hosting clients with access privileges to our Internet Hosting facilities are required to follow Inium's Internet Hosting Center Access rules.
